This program offers you the possibility to be in the magical cloud forest. Approximately two hours west of Quito. The clouded primary forest reserve includes one of the largest concentrations of bird species anywhere in the world. In addition to the wide variety of birds, many of which are endemic to the Chocó region, the area is home to more than 375 types of orchids and a variety of bromelias, butterflies and other insects.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: QUITO – CLOUD FOREST
In the morning our guide will be waiting for you to travel to the northwestern Quito until you reach the Cloud Forest where you will have a day full of interesting activities. First, you will visit a Butterfly where local guides will introduce you to the wonderful world of these insects, here you can enjoy the beautiful colors of butterflies while resting on colorful flowers or while feeding on your hands. Afterward, they will take a walk along the trails. In the afternoon visit a waterfall and after this activity our guide will transfer us to Sumak Pakari Lodge for the welcome dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2: TULIPE RUINS – QUITO
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will visit Tulipe ruins of Yumbo culture and after a walk along the trails of the place, Return to serve the lunch and in the afternoon return to Quito during the journey possibility to pass through the viewpoint of Pululahua Volcano and visit the Museum of site Intiñan in the EQUATOR LINE.
