Located just south of the Machalilla National Park, in the Manabi Province of Ecuador, AZULUNA is a private oceanside retreat offering you the perfect setting for a long rest, away from your normal routine.

 

We recommend at least a 4-day stay to enjoy some of the many surrounding attractions including: Puerto Lopez Fishing Village, Machalilla National Park, Isla de la Plata (or “the Galapagos of the Poor”), Agua Blanca Archeological Village, Los Frailes Beach, Montañita Surfer’s Beach, Isla de El Ahorcado (Hanged Man’s Island), and many others.

Rooms:

AZULUNA has separate cabins, built with local and ecolo- gically sustainable materials, such as bamboo, wood and palm leaves, each with a view of the ocean, designed for your relaxation and privacy. We do re-use and recycle.

We built our cabins with the idea of having a quiet place on the beach, with a nice ocean view, to escape to and spend time with our friends.

Facilities / Services

  • Cabins built with ecologically sustainable materials and waste management practices of reducing, reusing, recycling and composting.
  • Reception staff are available every day, 24 hours; daily housekeeping included in the cabin rate; and private bathroom for each cabin
  • Restaurant (serving also sushi)-bar with a majestic ocean view.
  • Relaxation spaces of a library, living, reading and games rooms, free internet access/Wi-Fi, and balconies with hammocks.
  • Laundry service, air conditioning in superior and suite cabins, private bathrooms and showers with HOT water.
  • Organized activities of massage, Spanish classes, volunteer work, horseback riding, surfing lessons, cooking classes, visits to our community projects and tours within Machalilla National Park.
  • Shuttle service to and from airports in Guayaquil or Manta.
